To start, you need a patient assessment. All patients are evaluated prior to admission to determine their potential to participate in and benefit from inpatient rehabilitation. This includes a review of their medical, physical and cognitive condition, previous and current levels of function, and psychosocial and cultural background.

Referral patients may be admitted from a hospital, surgery center, clinic, skilled nursing and long-term care facilities, as well as from home.
The ARU’s interdisciplinary team includes experienced physical medicine and rehabilitation physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, social workers, case managers, and other clinicians dedicated to the ARU.
