Kidney cancer is one of the most common cancers in men and women. Our USC Kidney Cancer Program team uses advanced imaging and testing to diagnose kidney cancer and determine the best treatment. Our goal is to preserve your kidney function.

We offer the latest chemotherapies to target cancer cells. We also offer immunotherapy to activate your body’s own natural defenses.

To treat complicated tumors, our surgeons are constantly perfecting new techniques. We offer minimally invasive options, including:

  • Cryotherapy — to freeze small tumors
  • Partial nephrectomy — to remove only the tumor
  • Radical nephrectomy — to remove the whole kidney, if necessary
