About Stella K. Yoo , MD
Stella Yoo, MD, is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology (Practitioner) at the Keck School of Medicine. She joined USC Radiation Oncology in September 2016. She is fluent in spoken and written Korean and will serve as a radiation oncologist for new patient evaluations at the Keck USC Koreatown satellite clinic as well as the USC Buena Park Medical Office Building when it opens.
Dr. Yoo graduated with honors from the University of California at Berkeley with a bachelor’s degree in molecular environmental biology. She earned her medical doctorate degree at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed her residency training in radiation oncology at LAC+USC Medical Center/Keck School of Medicine of USC, where she served as Chief Resident.
As a resident, Dr. Yoo led efforts to re-organize the follow-up clinic from the traditional apprenticeship model to a resident continuity clinic. She has presented and published on clinical radiation oncology in topics regarding central nervous system, gastrointestinal, and gynecologic cancers. In addition, she has authored papers regarding academic oncology practices such as publication biases in medical literature, conflicts of interest, industry sponsorship, and resident education.
