About Sue E. Martin, MD, PhD
Sue Ellen Martin, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. Boarded in both Anatomic Pathology and Cytopathology, she is a Fellow of the International Academy of Cytology and a member of the American Society of Cytopathology where she has served on numerous committees including Centers of Excellence, Scientific Program, and Ethics and Conduct. She also serves on the Research Committee of the Papanicolaou Society and on the Editorial Board of Cancer Cytopathology and Acta Cytologica. Dr. Martin served as Chief of Cytopathology and Director of the Cytopathology Fellowship Program at LAC+USC Healthcare Network from 1986 to 1994. She has served as the Director of the Division of Cytopathology, Department of Pathology, USC Keck School of Medicine since 1994. She is the Director of the Translational Pathology Core Facility of the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center and has over 60 peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Martin’s current research focuses on the application of genetic and epigenetic markers to the cytologic diagnosis and classification of malignancy with particular emphasis on DNA methylation profiling.
