Philosophy of care: As a trauma surgeon, I often encounter a case in which I have to make an immediate and critical decision, even within seconds, on managing severe injuries. In those situations, I always ask myself the same question: What can I do to achieve the best patient outcome? I believe that the answer to this question also guides me to improve health care quality, patient safety and satisfaction.
