David Peng, MD, MPH, is chief clinical officer of the USC Health System, overseeing clinical services for Keck Medicine of USC and all university facilities.
In this role, Peng works closely with Keck Medicine, Keck School of Medicine of USC and university and health sciences academic leadership to uphold the highest standards of care and cutting-edge technology in a rapidly changing health care landscape. He fosters strategic collaborations to implement data-driven, evidence-based care-delivery models and assists in recruiting, retaining and developing talented faculty that provide world-class care and drive clinical innovation.
Since joining the Keck School of Medicine as chair of the Department of Dermatology in 2013, Peng has assumed multiple critical leadership roles throughout the university and health enterprise. While continuing his role with the Department of Dermatology, Peng previously served as the interim chair of the Department of Medicine. He is a valued member of the joint cabinet of the senior vice president and CEO of USC Health System. He is former president of USC Care Medical Group, Keck Medicine’s network of providers.
Peng received his master’s degree in public health from UCLA. He received his medical degree and completed his postgraduate training in dermatology at the University of California, San Diego. Before joining Keck Medicine, Peng was a professor and physician with Stanford Health Care.
