Each colleague will receive a letter from the CEO and a pin denoting their years of service. All recognized colleagues will be invited to a recognition event to celebrate their years of service.
The Trojan Bucks Program applies to all of our colleagues: Keck Medical Center of USC employees, volunteers and contract employees. This is a peer to peer award that reinforces Keck Culture of Service Behaviors. It is a method to show appreciation and say “thank-you” that promotes trust and respect.
Trojan Bucks have been distributed to all managers, directors, administrators and Keck Service Ambassadors. Additional Trojan Bucks can be obtained at the Patient and Family Experience Office at Keck Hospital of USC. Our office is located across from the Cardinal Room on the first floor.

We encourage our colleagues to recognize each other for behaviors that represent our Cardinal and Gold Standards. Colleagues are encouraged to share their WOW stories through the online suggestion box on the intranet or send to the patient experience department at patientexperience@med.usc.edu. We also receive recognition from our patients and families through email, letters, surveys, executive rounding, our welcome rounds and our Skylight Patient Interactive System. WOW stories are often shared throughout the organization through our Daily Huddle Sheet and at the Leadership and Keck Huddles. All staff, who are recognized by patients, will receive a thank you card and small token of appreciation through the patient experience department.
