Dr. Ani Kardashian is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology and Liver Diseases at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. She is a transplant hepatologist who specializes in caring for patients with fatty liver, cirrhosis, and patients who undergo liver transplantation. Her research interests include understanding the social factors that contribute to the development and management of chronic liver diseases, viral hepatitis and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, and liver disease in HIV infection.
Dr. Kardashian received her MD from the University of California, San Francisco and completed Internal Medicine residency at the University of California, San Francisco. She then completed fellowships in Gastroenterology at University of California, Los Angeles and in Transplant Hepatology from the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Kardashian is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association, and American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine, gastroenterology, and transplant hepatology.
