About Jinseo Choi, NP-C

Jinseo Choi, RN, MSN, AGACNP-BC, is a nurse practitioner at Keck Medicine of USC who specializes in the prevention and treatment of dementia. She values shared decision-making and empowers her patients to be active participants in their health care journey.

Choi is dedicated to clinical research aimed at advancing preventive medicine. Her research work focuses on identifying biomarkers to enhance brain health and, ultimately, lower the risk of Alzheimer’s disease in high-risk individuals.

She considers it an immense honor to provide preventive care to patients who are at a higher risk for dementia. In her practice, she collaborates with a committed team that advances the frontiers of science to enhance patient care through an unwavering dedication to research and cutting-edge treatment.

Choi earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Eulji University in South Korea and her Master of Science in nursing from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a specialty in adult gerontology and acute care. She was a guest lecturer in critical care nursing at the UCLA School of Nursing and has co-authored peer-reviewed articles in her field of expertise.

She is the recipient of multiple scholarships and also received the Korea Air Force award from the Chief of the Republic of Korea Air Force. Choi is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and is a clinical instructor of neurology at Keck Medicine of USC.

When she is off the clock, Choi enjoys spending time outdoors on camping trips with her family. Exploring new destinations and cultures ignites her adventurous spirit. She also finds herself drawn to the meditative focus of building intricate LEGO models, which allows her to practice mindfulness through a creative outlet.

My philosophy of care is to develop patient-centered plans, based on my patients’ individual needs. I believe in the importance of establishing a lifelong connection, built on trust, communication and mutual respect to promote longevity and overall well-being.

Being a part of my patients’ brain health journey is truly a privilege.
