Dr. Ming Lu Huang, MD, earned his medical degree from Chung-Shang Medical and Dental College in Taipei, Taiwan. He completed his general surgery residency at Easton Hospital in Pennsylvania and his cardiothoracic surgery residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center in California. Prior to joining USC, Dr. Huang worked as an Army Medical Officer at Hsue's Surgical Hospital in Taipei, Taiwan. Upon returning to the United States, Dr. Huang worked as an Instructor in Surgery at Loma Linda University for three years and then went into private practice with Southland Cardiothoracic Surgery Group, where he also served as President. Dr. Huang was recruited to USC in 1995 and was appointed Assistant Professor of Clinical Cardiothoracic Surgery. Since his appointment, Dr. Huang has been working with the community hospitals and the referring physicians, bringing patient care to the Asian community. Dr. Huang is a member of the nationally recognized Society of Thoracic Surgeons, the Western Thoracic Surgical Association and the American Medical Association.
