About Patrick C. Hsieh, MD
Patrick C. Hsieh, MD, brings to his patients an expertise in complex spine surgery and advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques, including reconstructive surgery for spinal deformities such as scoliosis, spinal trauma and misalignment. He is also an internationally known spine tumor expert for complex spine tumors, such as chordomas, primary spine tumors and spinal cord tumors.
Dr. Hsieh’s research priorities include improving patient outcomes in spine surgery and spinal oncology treatments, along with developing new treatment methods for primary spine tumors. Early in his career, he served as a distinguished scholar at the National Institutes of Health’s Howard Hughes Medical Institute, where he conducted research in neurogenetics and neuro-oncology.
Dr. Hsieh is a sought-after speaker at national and international medical conferences. Since 2017, he has served as an Unaffiliated Neurotrauma Consultant for the National Football League (NFL) and the NFL Players Association. He was chosen as one of America's Top Doctors by Castle Connolly.
Away from work, his favorite things to do with his family include skiing, snowboarding, snorkeling and hiking. He also enjoys golf outings with his daughter and friends.
