Dr. Stephen Huang earned his MD at the University of Illinois at Chicago, his hometown. This was followed by Residency at Northwestern University Medical Center. He then became a Hospitalist at downtown Chicago’s famous Cook County Hospital, gaining intensive and valuable medical experience before returning to University of Illinois Medical Center to subspecialize in Hematology and Oncology.
After becoming double Board-Certified in Medical Oncology and Hematology in 2006, he worked full-time in Michigan for six years, then in the heart of Los Angeles for nine more, treating thousands of patients with every stage and type of cancer or blood disorder.
‘Knowledge is Power - especially in the fight against cancer." Having acquired special training in communicating with cancer patients called The OncoTalk program, Dr. Huang is particularly renowned for his ability to listen to his patients and educate them, explaining highly complex treatment options without medical jargon.
