About Sujit Kulkarni, MD

Dr. Kulkarni is a hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgeon at Keck Medicine of USC. He is also an assistant clerkship director at the Keck School of Medicine. After medical school at the Byramjee Jeejeebhoy Medical College in India, Dr. Kulkarni obtained a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from IIT-Bombay. Dr. Kulkarni served for two years as a Huck Institute of Life Science research fellow in molecular medicine at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center. Upon completion of his residency in general surgery, he underwent a two-year fellowship in Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery at the Keck School of Medicine and has stayed on as faculty since 2012.

Dr. Kulkarni is an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher who is actively involved in the training of residents and medical students at the Keck School of Medicine. He is well liked by his patients because his philosophy of care includes spending time with patients and listening to their concerns.

Dr. Kulkarni is board certified in General Surgery. His research interests include neuroendocrine tumors, pancreatitis, liver and pancreatic cancers, and complicated gallstone disease.
