Dr. Katie Page is a physician scientist specializing in diabetes. She is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Co-Director of the Diabetes and Obesity Research Institute at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California (USC). She is the principal investigator of the Brain Regulation of Appetite, Nutrition and Cognition (BRANCH) Laboratory, and her research team conducts clinical studies on brain regulation of metabolism and early-life contributors to diabetes risk. Her research is supported by grants from the National Institute of Health, the American Diabetes Association, and the American Heart Association. She has recognized by outstanding investigator awards from the Endocrine Society, American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, American Federation for Medical Research, and Western Society for Clinical Investigation. Through her research, Dr. Page aims to understand the causes of obesity and diabetes so that more effective strategies can be developed for reducing the number of people affected by these conditions.
